Frequently asked questions
What iOS version does ClientVault require?
ClientVault runs on iPhone with iOS 26 or later, with an Apple Watch companion app (watchOS 10+) and CarPlay support.
Is my contact data safe?
Yes. All PII — contact names, emails, phone numbers, and custom fields — is stored exclusively in your private iCloud / CloudKit account. BassTech servers never see it; only non-PII data such as client status, notes, heat scores, and tags is stored on our Azure backend.
Do I need an Anthropic API key to use Ask Claude?
Yes. The Ask Claude feature (CarPlay & iPhone) is powered by the Anthropic Claude API and requires your own API key. It is stored securely in the iOS Keychain on your device and is never transmitted to BassTech servers.
Does ContextIQ drain my battery?
ContextIQ processes all its signals — calendar, location, motion, contacts, and photos — entirely on-device. Nothing leaves your phone, and geofencing uses a 150 m radius so background work stays lightweight.
Can I use ClientVault without an internet connection?
Your PII lives in iCloud/CloudKit and on-device signals are processed locally, so core client data works offline and syncs when you reconnect. Features that call the server (heat scores) or the Claude API (Ask Claude) require a connection.
How do I delete my account?
To delete your entire account and all associated server data, contact privacy@support.basstechdev.com — requests are processed within 30 days. Deleting a client from the Clients tab removes its server-side non-PII data immediately, and CloudKit PII is removed upon confirmation.
What is the refund policy?
All purchases are one-time and processed by Apple via StoreKit. Refunds are handled by Apple through the App Store — visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request one.
